STEP 1
define
AUDIENCE
This poster would be seen by post-secondary students and distributed around Canadian University campuses to address the pressing concerns of climate change.
COLOUR PALETTE
This poster primarily uses bright, bold colours to capture the attention of passing students, while also invoking an uncomfortable sense of warmth.
STEP 2
sketch
& mockup
After sketching out dozens of concepts, I came up with this idea as more of a satirical commentary on how students seem to be more interested in upcoming events than the climate crisis. The more I developed the idea, the more I fell in love with it.
After all, global warming really is this century's hottest event.
STEP 3
design
After figuring out the concept behind this infographic and sketching out a layout, I started designing all of the elements.
Each fish, tree, and cityscape was personally designed using a series of lines and shapes in Adobe Illustrator.
I also proudly take credit for the puns.
